The Sunset over the Sky was Breathtaking

Few days ago, we saw the sunset over the sky. It was breathtaking. So grateful. God's creation.

Image - First photo.

Yes, there is a sunset every day, but beauty like this is rare. This view feels like a real treat to me.

We may observe God's other amazing artworks over the sky, both in the morning and at night, that are:
- great sunrises
- and moon rises

We love seeing the moonrise over the beach. It’s magical when the moon slowly climbs above the ocean horizon.

Passing by the Santa Spider

We noticed something interesting when we drive to downtown recently. We love seeing "the Santa Spider."

Image 01 - The Santa Spider.

We then stop at a nearby parking lot. We walk and observe this seasonal spider quite closely.

It is a kind of carnival season (such as Mardi Gras). It has been another fun season that has brought us joy.

When passing at different days, we saw different dresses:
- Santa dress
- Crown dress
- and dress with a hat.

The Mississippi River

Mississippi River is one of the longest rivers in the USA, and even in the world with length of 2340 miles (3766 km).

Image 01 - A ridge crosses the river.

Dates back hundreds of years, the river blends with a richness of:
- history
- music
- and culture.

Steamboat is the "main" transportation during Mark Twain eras (1880's). before the Civil War.

Nowadays, in the Mississippi river, we may observe the riverboats and other commercial activities.

Other commercial activities include the transportation of goods, fishing, kayaking and cruising.

Have there been UFO Sightings in our City?

At first, we are scary to see an unrecognized object flying over the sky nearby our house recently.

Image 01 - An unidentified Flying object

After closer look, we noticed the advertisement on it. Then, we are aware that the object was flying or floating over LSU football stadium and during the football game in the last season.

In one of games, there were 2 blimps, one for Netflix live and the NFL, the other was Dick”s sporting goods.

There was also a small plane flying with a banner. At one point while tailgating at football parking lots, the plane was so low We thought the pilot was going to land and get some food.

Image 02 - A corner of our city

The Pilot was probably thinking hard about a quick stop, because he saw how awesome the fans cook up fantastic Louisiana food.

Just kidding. lol

I believed you saw this kind of flying object in your area. Didn't you?

A little cutie Bunny at the Corner

When jogging in the Saturday morning recently, we saw a bunny. She is very super friendly critter!

Image - A super friendly bunny.

We believe a bunny definitely someone’s pet. I was able to pick it up! We give her a carrot and vegetable.

However, she will enjoy dry dogfood. Don't know why. We would like to keep it, but our dog would lose her mind.

Other worries that an owl or coyote gets ahold of it. Then we called several institutions and nonprofit organizations or NGO, including:
- Rabbit rescue
- Pet shelters

Hope, she will be safe and protected!!

The Herd of Goats at Neighborhood

We just saw for a herd of goat grazing on the grass at our neighborhood recently. This is the first time for us, and we don't know the owners yet.

Image - A Herd of Goats, grazing on the grass.

We thought that this is just the cutest thing. Not for the owners but definitely our smile for the day.

Some suggest that it could be a new lawn service. It's gotten out of hand. At least the goats don't have to come out and give you an estimate. They just get the job done, no questions asked.

There are lots of businesses that can be hired to bring herds of goats to clear out overgrown properties or "mow" a field.

It's a cute business model -- the goats eat free, the property owner gets beneficial "soil amendments," and the goat owner gets paid for the effort of hauling them around.

We've never seen it here!

What do you think?

The Farmer’s Market at Downtown

In our areas, we have several farmer markets, and many people come to these farmer markets with some reasons.

Image 01 - Some vegetable in the farmer market.

We love most to visit is "Red Stick Farmers Market," the largest and well-known market in our city.

The Red Stick Farmers Market sells wide variety of items (goods and products), including:

- handmade crafts
- and etc.

Another reason for us to visit farmer market is quality. We like higher quality and fresher of produces compared to grocery stores.

Image 04 - Selling meat too

Many people think that buying from farmers market will support local farmers (agriculture) and economy.

Happy mother day

Today, May 12, 2024, we are celebrating Mother Day in the USA. The celebration for mothers and motherhood.

Image 01 - Happy mother day

Just in case you are not aware, forget or don't know that mother day was initiated by Anna Jarvis (an activist) in 1908.

Then, Anna Jarvis worked and campaigned tirelessly to establish Mother Day as a national holiday.

After 6 years, her efforts bore fruit in 1914 when it officially gained recognition in the United States.

Mother’s Day serves as an opportunity to express gratitude and honor both mothers and maternal figures.

Image 02 - Colorful of flowers.

People often give something to their mothers, few examples are:
- flowers (especially carnations),
gifts
- cards,
- candy
- or prepare meals for their loves.

Happy Mom's Day to the moms and single dads out there!
